Allan and Violet immigrated to the UK from South Africa some 36 years ago, which he recalls as being highly stressful, and the experience inspired Allan to study Law in the UK, and specialise in Immigration law, to help others alleviate the stress.
Completing his LLB. Hons degree at the University of Hertfordshire, and a further year of Post Graduate studies in UK Immigration law, Allan, together with his wife Violet Van As have spent the past 25 years successfully representing 100’s of clients from around the world, in gaining visas to enter or remain.
Their daughter – Crystal Van As – joined the firm seven years ago, and together as a family firm offering clients the peace of mind of personal and professional service, with results that are born out by the array of thank you cards and 5* Google reviews.
Because face to face appointment aren’t always convenient we have adopted a process of doing online consultation over zoom followed up by full written documentation to ensure we are able to support our clients regardless of their location
Looking at Immigration law 35 years ago, the law is unrecognisable today as to what it was when Allan and Violet started their journey, but it is the journey itself, being part of the evolution of law, that has led to the deep insightful knowledge and experience, that they bring to each case.

Allan Van As completed an LLB. Hons, and Post Graduate studies in UK Immigration before starting a 25-year journey representing clients with the UKVI, and successfully challenging cases in the First Tier and Upper Tier tribunals, and has acquired a deep knowledge of not only the Immigration rules but also processes, procedures and often little known concessions.
Violet jointly established Visa Inn with Allan Van As, responsible for the financial management of the firm, and together have built their business over the past 40 years. As Allan says ‘ Violet is my inspiration and motivation behind the success of our company, and is at the heart of Visa Inn’. Violet and Allan have been married for 41 Years.
Crystal joined her parents at Visa Inn 7 years ago having trained under Allan, before undertaking the LLB.Hons. Crystal has inherited the passion for excellence, bringing fresh ideas, and inspiration to the firm. Crystal has a special interest in Family and child-related cases, entry clearance and Marriage. As Allan says, Crystal completes the package of a truly Family run Immigration firm.
